Your information.

Privacy Policy. Last updated August 2026.

1. Introduction

LaunchHire respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, the service providers that help us operate the platform, and the choices available to users.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use LaunchHire, we may collect information you provide or generate through the platform, including:

  • Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, role, and profile details.
  • Candidate information, including resumes or CVs, skills, experience, education, preferences, and portfolio information.
  • Employer and company information, job listings, role requirements, and hiring activity.
  • Job applications, saved jobs, application status, and other candidate or employer activity within LaunchHire.
  • Resume-analysis inputs and outputs, including target roles, extracted resume text, scores, findings, recommendations, and interview questions.
  • Purchase and subscription records, such as product, credit, checkout, customer, and subscription identifiers. Payment-card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored directly by LaunchHire.
  • Technical and security information needed to operate and protect the service, such as IP-derived rate-limit identifiers, browser or device information, session cookies, logs, and diagnostic information.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide accounts, job discovery, applications, hiring workflows, and customer support.
  • Extract, analyze, score, and present resume and role-related information requested by users.
  • Allow authorized employers to review applicants to their own job listings.
  • Process purchases, subscriptions, credits, and related account access.
  • Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, secure, and improve LaunchHire.
  • Prevent abuse, enforce platform rules, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Candidate Information and Employers

Uploading a resume for profile storage or analysis does not automatically make it visible to every employer. Resume and candidate information may be made available to an employer when the candidate chooses to apply to that employer's listing through LaunchHire. The employer can then use the application and associated resume within the relevant hiring workflow.

LaunchHire does not sell or share personal information with third parties for unrelated commercial purposes. Information may still be disclosed to the employer selected by the candidate, to service providers needed to operate LaunchHire, or where required by law.

5. Employer Use of Applicant Information

Employers agree to use applicant information obtained through LaunchHire only for legitimate hiring, recruitment, evaluation, employment-related, or company and business purposes connected to the relevant hiring process. Employers must not:

  • Sell applicant information or use it for unrelated commercial purposes.
  • Publicly disclose applicant information.
  • Redistribute applicant information to unrelated third parties.
  • Create external lead lists from applicant information.
  • Otherwise misuse candidate personal information.

Violations may result in account suspension or termination, removal from LaunchHire, termination of an applicable subscription, or other appropriate enforcement available under the platform's terms.

6. Email Communications

By creating an account, users agree that LaunchHire may send emails needed to operate and secure the platform. These may include account verification, password resets, account or security notices, analysis-related notices, purchase or subscription communications, and other important service messages. Creating an account does not by itself mean consenting to arbitrary or unrelated marketing email.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

LaunchHire uses cookies and related technologies for authentication, session continuity, preferences, security, platform operation, and understanding service usage. Browser settings may allow you to control cookies, although disabling essential cookies can prevent parts of the platform from working.

8. Service Providers

LaunchHire relies on service providers that process information only as needed to provide their respective services, including:

  • Supabase for authentication, database services, file storage, and authentication-related email workflows.
  • OpenRouter for AI processing. Resume-derived text, target-role information, job context, and related prompts may be sent to OpenRouter to produce requested analysis.
  • Creem for checkout, payment, subscription, and billing services.
  • Vercel for application hosting and production analytics.

9. Data Storage and Security

LaunchHire uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or misuse. No internet service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security, and LaunchHire cannot promise that a security incident will never occur.

10. Retention and Account Deletion

Information is retained while needed to provide LaunchHire, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and why it is processed; LaunchHire does not promise a single fixed retention period for every category.

Signed-in users can request account deletion from account settings. The current deletion process verifies the user, deactivates the account, prevents further login, and anonymizes profile information. Certain historical records—including application, job, analysis, purchase, subscription, and audit records—and some uploaded content may be retained where needed for platform integrity, legal, accounting, security, or operational purposes. Account deletion therefore does not necessarily erase every historical record or file immediately.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain uses of personal information. LaunchHire also provides product controls for updating profile information and deleting an account.

Requests or questions can be sent to the contact address below. Some information may need to be retained for the reasons described in this policy.

12. Children's Privacy

LaunchHire is intended for individuals aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
